Parish Councils are an essential part of the structure of local democracy and have a vital role in acting on behalf of the communities they represent.

They give their views on behalf of the community, on planning applications and other proposals that affect the parish. They alert relevant authorities to problems that arise or work that needs to be undertaken and help the other tiers of local government keep in touch with their local communities.

The Council serves, and makes decisions on behalf of, both villages and aims to keep everyone informed about important issues and on-going projects. There are eight councillors who are committed to the community of Flempton and Hengrave and give their time, effort and resources without financial reward.

Councillors are members of the community, elected by the community. Elections take place every four years and the next elections will be in 2027.

If you have any questions about the work of the Parish Council please contact theĀ Clerk.
