Further to a review of the bus stops in both Hengrave and Flempton by Suffolk County Council, the stops in the direction of Mildenhall were both found not to comply with the provisions of the Equalities and Transport Acts.

As the local transport authority, Suffolk County Council in this case, has a responsibility to ensure that all bus service are accessible to all users. This means that where possible a level hardstanding area with sections raised to bus door height and lowered to allow crossing over to the opposite footway has to be created.  

The work to meet compliance has now been completed and the bus stop in Hengrave is now located outside Hengrave Hall and the bus stop in Flempton is situated outside the offices of Larkbridge opposite the existing stop.
