Two villages, one community
You may remember that not only did we have two serious house fires in Hengrave, but the Flempton cum Hengrave Bowls Club was also subject to an arson attack.
By kind permission of Mr David Harris, a fundraiser for the club to refit the clubhouse and surrounding area, will take place at Hengrave Hall.
The event, a tour of Hengrave Hall where you can learn about its history and, weather permitting, play games on the lawn and includes tea and cakes takes place on Wednesday September 17th 2025.
Tickets cost a very reasonable £10! Buy your tickets from Nolan Catterwell tel 07801920665 or email Nolan.catterwell@btopenworld.com or from Joan Blowers the 01284 704744 or email Joan.blowers@btinternet.com)
New members are always welcome. The bowls club is located midway between Flempton and Hengrave alongside the A1101 (on the left if approaching from Flempton). The playing season is April to September, and we are always pleased to have new members, all ages and abilities. Bowls can be provided.
